Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College: 

Birla College of Science and Education also known as AJC Bose College were established in 1968 as two separate Institutions. In 1969 the two Institutions were amalgamated into one College under the name of Birla College Of Science and Education. With effect from the 1st July 1987,it is renamed as Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College, by the name of great scientist, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose. This is a Govt. aided Educational Institution under the pay packet scheme of the State Govt. of West Bengal, India and affiliated to Calcutta University.

B.A. Honours in - English, Bengali, Hindi.

B.Com. Honours in - Accounting & Finance, Marketing.

B.Sc. Honours in - Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or others Board / Council recognised by Calcutta University in 2022 are eligible for application.

Students Passing 10+2 level Vocational course may apply for admission to this college for session 2022 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category.

The Merit List of Valid application will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.
