Bhairab Ganguly College:

Bhairab Ganguly College Belghoria also known as BGC an esteemed academic institution in the cultural map of West Bengal was established on 3rd September, 1968, under the initiative of late Jibandhan Ganguly a renowned philanthropist of Belghoria. He generously contributed eleven Bighas of land from his family property with the avowed aim of opening the avenue of higher education for local students belonging to diverse socio economic status.

B.A. Honours in - Urdu, Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Journalism & Mass Commutation

B.Com. Honours in - Accountancy.

B.Sc. Honours in - Economics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Physiology, Computer Science, Electronics, Botany.

B.Com Major Course - ASPM (Advertiseing, Sales Promotion & Sales Management).

Eligibility Criteria:

Admission is open to all students who have passed High Secondary (10+2) examination from any stream, from any recognized Board. Also students who have passed 10+2 examination in Vocational stream conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training are also eligible to get admission.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category.

Application Fee:

The Application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the bank of Account of college either Online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net banking) or offline (Bank Challan).

Merit List:

The Merit list of Valid application will be published online website of college on date as per  the published admission scheduled, the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Counselling:

Students must have bring the print copy of Application From, Application Fee receipt, Madhaymik Admit Card, Madhyamik & H.S mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate from last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physical Handicapped Certificate, or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during verification of documents Counselling for Admission.

Documents Required, At The Time of Admission :
1. Mark sheet of the previous qualifying examination and Admit Card of the Madhyamik Examination in original.
2. Transfer certificate in case of students coming from other colleges or institutions.
3. Registration receipts for students who are already registered under the West Bengal State University.
4. One copy of stamp sized coloured photograph must be attached with the admission form.
5. The students from other Universities, Boards or Councils may be admitted provisionally. The admission will be registered properly after the production of migration certificate. The provisional admission is liable to be cancelled it migration certificate is not produced within a month from the date of admission. Students coming from other Universities/ Boards for admission in degree courses will have to produce "Eligibility Certificate" from West Bengal State University before applying for admission. The certificate is issued by Equivalence Section, West Bengal State University.
