Gurudas College:

The beginning was modest, or even challenging. The college did not have a building of its own; the University of Calcutta, to which the college is affiliated, permitted the teaching of Intermediate (Arts and Science) and B.A. and B.Sc. at the pass level. Subsequently, the college was allotted land by the Calcutta Improvement Trust, and the first building came up in 1958, the second in 1962, and the third in 1996. The college still has a substantial amount of vacant land under its possession on which it has plans to construct an auditorium-cum-academic building in the near future.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or Others Board / Council recognised by Calcutta University in 2022 are eligible for application.

Students Passing 10+2 level Vocational course may apply for admission to this college for session 2022 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as General category.

Merit List:

The Merit List of Valid application will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Counselling:

Students must have bring the print copy of Application From, Application Fee receipt, Madhaymik Admit Card, Madhyamik & H.S Mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate from last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physical Handicapped Certificate, or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during verification of documents Counselling for Admission.

Documents Required, At The Time of Counseling & Admission :
1. Bandidate must take the print out of duly filled-in Application Form (2 pages) and Identity Card information (1 page) generated after successful online submission of the form aand produce the same duly signed by guardian as well as candidate with date and photograph pasted on the appropriate place at the time of counseling.
2. Candidate must take the print out of Online Payment Receipt/Bank e-challan (1 page) generated after successful online submission of the form and produce the duly paid original College copy and Applicant's copy at the time of counseling. If any candidate has no College copy of e-challan ib his/her possession, he/she must aattach self attested photocopy of applicant's copy of e-challaan with the duly filled-in Application form.
3. Marksheet (original as well as self-attested photocopy) of last qualifying examination.
4. Age verification certrificate (original as well as self-attested photocopy).
5. SC/ST/OBC (A&B) (Certificate for reserved category candidates in original as well as self-attested photocopy).
6. Original Differently Abled (Physically Challenged) Certificate, if applicable.
7.  Registration Certificate of the H.S. Council/ Equivalent Examination.
8. Two recent stamp size photographs.
9. Transfer Certificate (if required).
