Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum qualifying marks for Eligibility is in Honours / Major Subject is 60% aggregate marks, for General / OBC (CGPA 6.5 on a 10 point scale) and 555% aggregate for SC / ST / PWD (CGPA 6.0 on a 10 point scale) candidates.

M.Sc (Physics) - B.Sc or Equivalent Degree with Physics as Honours / Major Subject.

M.Sc (Chemistry) - B.Sc or equivalent degree with Chemistry as Honours / Major subject.

M.Sc (Applied Geology) - B.Sc or Equivalent degree with Geology / Applied Geology / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics as Honours / Major subject.

Application Procedure:

Admission through CCMN 2022 - Candidates wish to apply through CCMN may do so using online mechanism. The candidates are selected by the CCMN 2022 authority (note that JAM is a mandatory) and send their names to IIEST (and other Institutes taking part in CMN) for Admission. Note that 50% of the available seats will be filled through CCMN. For details see the CCMN 2022 website.

Institute Admission Process- Candidates meeting the eligibility criterion may apply through the admission portal www.iiests.ac.in by filling the electronic admission form and providing the details of the draft. The draft (Rs.500 for OC/OBC Male candidates and RS.200/ for SC / ST / PWD or any Female candidates) should be drawn in favour of the "Register, IIEST Shibpur" payable at Kolkata. Note that the copy of the complete admission form and the draft in original  are to be used as the Admit Card for Entrance Test. The draft need not sent to IISEST Shibpur authority by post or hand delivery (Draft would be collected from the candidates during the test).
