Katwa College B.Ed Course has been running since 1969, recognised by NCTE and afflicted to Burdwan University. Proposed intake capacity is 100. Academic year is from July to June every year.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% of total marks either in the Bachelor Degree (50% marks in Bachelor Degree aggregate) and / or in the Master Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanity / Commerce or Bachelor in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any qualification equivalent thereto be eligble for application.
There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and PWD categories.

Age Limit:
Age of the fresh candidates as on 30th June, 2017 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be relaxation of 5 years in favour of PWD category candidates.

Seats Reservation:
22% & 6% of total seats shall be kept reserved for SC & ST candidates (Both Fresh & Deputed) respectively and PWD candidates will enjoy 3% of Reservation n each of the categories.

Application Fee:
The application will be consider invalid without payment of application fee (including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of College either Online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking) or Offline (Bank Challan).

Merit List:
The Merit List of valid applicants will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the merit list will be prepared in the descending order in merit index. In case of tie percentage will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.
