Matiaburj College:

Matiaburj College, Kolkata was established in 2008 by the initiative of some local, highly enthusiastic people of different sectors with a view to impart education and knowledge to the young generation of the locality. For the convenience of the students the college is equipped to it CCTV facilities, Generator Services and constant supply of Purified water etc.

Details of Course:

B.A. Honours in - Political Science, Urdu, English, History, Education.

B.A. General in - Bengali, Education, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Urdu.

Eligibility Criteria:

Admission is open to all students who have passed High Secondary (10+2) examination from any stream, from any recognised Board. Also students who have passed 10+2 examination in Vocational stream conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training are also eligible to get admission.
For Honours Candidates A minimum of 50%  marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination [In case of B.Mus. (Honours) 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music, in the pre-qualifying examination]. OR
For Honours Candidates 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination [in case of B.Mus. (Honours) 50% marks in the subject at the pre-qualifying exam.]
For SC/ST Caandidates 40% in aggregate or 40% in the concerned subject in which Honours is desired.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category.

Application Fee:

The application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the bank of Account of college either online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking) or offline (Bank Challan).

B.A. Honours - Rs. 2335/-
B.A. General - Rs. 2260/-

Merit List:

The Merit list of Valid application will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case a tie,  precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Counselling:

Students must have bring the print copy of Application From, Application Fee receipt, Madhaymik Admit Card, Madhyamik & H.S mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate from last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physical Handicapped Certificate, or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during verification of documents Counselling for Admission.

Documents Required, At The Time of Admission :
1. Photo card of Madhyamik Examination / Marksheet of I.C.S.E. / C.S.S.E. Registration Certificate.
2. Admit Card of H.S. /I.S.C (+2) / C.B.S. Examination or any Boade recognized by Calcutta University.
3. Registration Certificates of H.S. e4xamination.
4. Original Migration Certificate for student coming from any board other than H.S. Council.
5. Mark sheet of the H.S. Examination / +2 Examination of any board or council recognized by C.U.
6. Transfer / School Leaving Certificates for the student from the Head of the institutioon last attended.
7. Original SC/ST/OBC Certificate for students belonging to the reserved category.
