Mekliganj College was established on 22nd December, 1996 as the General Degree College in teh district of Cooch Behar. It is located at the remotest part of the district adjacent to Bangladesh Border. After partition Mekhliganj once strategically important town, was converted into a backward town from both socio-economic as well as academic perspectives.

Eligibility Criteria : 

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or Others Board / Council recognized by Coochbehar Pnachanana Barma University in 2022 are eligible for application.

Students Passing 10+2 level Vocational course may apply for admission to this college for session 2022 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation :

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as general category.

Application Fee : 

The Application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of college either Online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking ) or Offline (Bank Challan).
