Eligibility Criteria:
All candidates who have passed High Secondary or Equivalent Examination (with pass in English having full marks being not less than 100) in the Year 2013 & onwards are eligible to apply for admission to the 1st Year of the 3 Year B.A / B.Sc / B.Com Degree Course (Honours ? General) for the session 2022. Candidates who have passed HS / Equivalent examination before 2014 are not eligible to apply for admission. A Candidate willing to take up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained -
A Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject in the High Secondary or equivalent qualifying examination.
A Minimum of 55% marks in the subject in the High Secondary or equivalent qualifying examination.
A minimum of 50 marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his / her High Secondary or Equivalent qualifying examination provided all the other clauses are satisfied.
However, a candidate belonging to SC or ST community wiling to take up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the subject or the related subject or in the aggregate in the High Secondary or equivalent qualifying examination, as the case may be.

Seat Reservation:
Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC certificate issued by the other states other than West Bengal will be treated as General category for Admission.
