Ranaghat College:

It was thus that Ranaghat College made its humble beginning in a small room of Pal Chowdhury High School in 1950 with affiliation to Calcutta university. Later it was shifted to its present premises by the side of the National Highway 34. The College, located on a land of 4.68 acres, is well connected by road and railways.

Ranaghat college offers three undergraduate programmes leading to B.A, B.Sc and B.Com degrees with both Honours and General courses.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or others Board / Council recognized by the University of Kalyani in 202 are eligible for application.0

Students passing 10+2 level vocational course may apply for admission to this college for the session 2022 in appropriate Undergraduate.
1. 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject opted for Honours or
2. 45% marks in the aggregate and 55% marks in the subject opted for Honours in the qualifying examination.
3. 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in H.S. for which Honours is opted.
5. Candidates of SC and ST category will get a 5% relaxation in marks from minimum eligibility criteria.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate form the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B certificate issued by the states other then West Bengal will be treated as General Category for Admission.

The application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of College either Online (through Debit Card / credit Card / Net Banking) or off line (Bank Challan).

Merit List:

The Merit List of valid applicants will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit Lists lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case of a tie, Precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Students must have bring the Print of the Application Form, Application Fee Receipt, Madhyamik Admit Card, Madhyamik & HS Mark Sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate form last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during verification of Documents, Counselling for approval to Admission.
