Southfield College :

Southfield College was founded as Loreto College, in Darjeeling in August, 1961 as a women's college. At the request of the Government of West Bengal, the Irish Branch of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Darjeeling Loreto Educational Society agreed to take care of its management. However, due to the lack of personnel the Loreto nuns were compelled to hand over the college to the Government of West Bengal, hence to be run as Southfield College.

Elgibility Criteria :

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equlivent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS  / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or others Board / Council recognized by North Bengal University in 2022 are eligible for application.

Students passing 10+2 level with Vocational course may Apply for Admission to this college for the session 2022 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation :

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quot of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B certificate issued by the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category for Admission.

Application fee :

The application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of College either Online (through Debit Card / Credit card / Net Banking) or Offline (Bank Challan).

The Merit List of valid applicants will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit Lists lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Counselling :

Students Must have bring the print copy of the Application Form, Application fee receipt, Madhyamik Admit card, Madhyamik & HS mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate Form last attendant school, cast certificate, Physically handicapped Certificate, or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during Verification of documents, Counselling for approval to admission.

1. The original Mark sheet of the last examination passed along with 3 Xerox copy (Not attested).
2. Original Character certificate + 1 Xerox Copy.
3. Original Migration Certificate in case of students migrating from another University/ Board.
4. Original copy of Transfer Certificate from the last school attended.
5. Date of Birth Certificate (ICSE or Madhyamik Admit Card) + 1 Xerox copy.
6. SC / ST / OBC Certificate (non-creamy layer) / PH Certificate + 1 Xerox copy.
