State Institute of Physical Education for Women, Hasting House, Kolkata:

The State Institute of Physical Education for Women (SIPEW) is located in a sprawling campus which was once the residence of warren hasting. SIPEW Kolkata is afflicted under the University of Calcutta.

Details of Course:

B.P.Ed Course in - Bachelor in Physical Education (total no. of seats 50).

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have one qualification in given below is required for application-

Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter College / Inter Zonal / District / School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Government of India.

Bachelor Degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.

Bachelor Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory / elective subject.

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC / ST / oBC shall be as per the rules of the State Government.

Age Limit:

The age of the candidate should be 21 years to 30 years as on 01.07.2017.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of Seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B certificate issued by the states other than West Bengal will be treated as General categorty for Admission.

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on a Admission Test. Details procedure of Admission Test is given below-

Physical Fitness Test (50 Yard dash, 600 Yard Run & Walk, Standing Broad Jump, Shuttle Run & Bent Knee Sit Ups) - 50 marks.

Knowledge Test (Covering the syllabus of Physical Education MCQ Type) - 15 marks.

Personality Test - 5 marks.

Before applicant proceed to register yourself for filling Online Application candidates must ensure that read and understood the Admission Eligibility Criteria for B.P.Ed course to take the admission. Details of Application Process is given below-

Candidate should have a valid email id and mobile number for communication and transction of information.

Keep the Photograph and Signature ready before applying online. The candidates is required to upload her photograph and signature of maximum size 20 to 540 K. Photograph and Signature should be clear and identifiable.

Check completely before final submission of application form.

The candidate are required to take a print out of confirmation page / receipt copy and application form to retain the same for their record.

Eligible candidates for admission test should bring one print out of the form submitted online, recipt copy recent two passport size photograph along with all testimonials (self attested photo copy and original for verification at the time of admission test) which she has mentioned application form without fail.
