Surendranath Evening College :

Surendranath Banerjee (10th November 1848 – 6th August 1925) was one of the great stalwarts of India’s freedom movement. Surendranath Evening College Established in 1961. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. Our college is recognised by the UGC U/S 2f and 12b. Its parent body is the University of Calcutta and a governing body governs it.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have passed H.S or its equivalent examination 10+2 from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Netaji Open University or others Board / Council recognised by Calcutta University in 2022 are eligible for application.

Students Passing 10+2 level Vocational course may apply for admission to this college for session 2022 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having all cast & category certificate issued by the States other than West Bengal will be treated as General Category.

The Application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of college either online (through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking) or offline (Bank Challan).

Merit List:

The Merit list of valid application will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case of a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable. 

Counselling:

Students must have bring the print copy of Application From, Application Fee receipt, Madhaymik Admit Card, Madhyamik & H.S Mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate from last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physical Handicapped Certificate, or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during verification of Documents Counselling for Admission.

Documents Required, At The Time of Admission :
1. Xerox copy of Admit Card and the Mark Sheet of class -X & XII.
2. Xerox copy of age verification certificate e.g. admit card of class - X.
3. A certificate of character (alongwith recent passport size photograph) from the Head of the Institution last attended and other relevant documents, as may be considered necessary by the college admission board. (If selected, before admission the office will verify originals of all the documents submitted).
4. The admission board of the coollege allows the students to take admission on first-come-first serve basis purely on the basis of merit list published online.
5. The college authority/admission board reserves the right to change/modify the above procedures with proper notification.
