Eligibility Criteria:
For Bengali, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sanskrit, Santali, Commerce - Master Degree in concerned subject with minimum 55% marks (for General candidates) or 50% marks (for SC/ST/OBC A / OBC B / PWD category) candidates.
For Women Study - Master Degree in Geography, Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics, Education, Philosophy, Anthropology, Library Science, English, Bengali, Hindi, Santali, Sanskrit, Journalism and Mass Communication with minimum 55% marks (for General) or 50% marks (for SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B / PWD category) candidates are eligible.
Anthropology - Master Degree in Anthropology / Tribal Science / Biological and or Social Science with minimum 55% marks (for General category) or 50% marks For (SC / ST / OBC / PWD category) candidates are eligible.
Life Science - M.Sc in Zoology / Botany / Human Physiology / Microbiology / Laboratory Science Management & Technology / Fisheries Science / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Anthropology with minimum 55% marks for General candidates of 50% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are eligible.

Selection Process:
60% of total seats are reserved for the students of Vidyasagar University and rest 40% seats are reserved for the student of other university / autonomous colleges.

Application Fees & Admission Fees:
After successful completion of online applications, the candidate will pay Rs.150 only through mode of payment (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking) or Bank Challan in Cash Counter etc.\
Fees for Dissertation & Viva Voce is Rs.1500 (total).
Admission fees for all other subject (Except Womens study) is Rs.1500 for Semester-I & 1500 for Semester-II. For Womens Study Course Rs.300 for 1st Semester & Rs.3000 for Second Semester.

Required Document List:
Print out the online filled up application form to be submitted at the time of counselling.
Self attested photo copies of all the Mark Sheet of 10th Examination Passed, University Registration Certificate and a copy of the Passport size coloured Photograph affixed on the box of the Form.
Self attested Photo copy of the Admit Card / certificate of H.S or equivalent examination / Madhyamik as evidence of the date of birth.
Self Attested copy of SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B / PWD certificate issued by the appropriate authority, if claimed quota.
Self Attested photo copies of the Certificate of Games & Sports / Cultural Competition (International / National / State in the last two years), if claimed quota.
Self attested photo copy of the BPL certificate of the parent issued by the appropriate authority, if claimed for concession of tuition fees.
Migration certificate (for other university candidates only) must be submitted within two months from the last date of admission.
