Pre Degree Science Choose 2 core subject & 4 elective subject (1 subject from each group) -
Core Subject English Compulsory and any one from Bengali / Hindi and Elective Subject Mathematics / Food & Nutrition, Biology / Statistics, Physics, Chemistry.

Pre Degree Humanities Choose 2 core subject & 4 elective subject (1 subject from each group) -
English Compulsory and any one from Bengali / Hindi - Elective Subject Mathematics / Political Science / Food & Nutrition, Statistics / Philosophy / Geography, Economics / History, Rabindra Sangit / Painting / Tabla / Hindustani Classical Music(Vocal) / Manipuri Dance / Japanese / Sanskrit.

Patha Bhavana External Residential candidates - 20 seat (Science 10 & Humanities 10 seat) .
Pre Degree Level Science - 10 seats (General-4, OBC-3, SC-2, ST-1).

Eligibility Criteria:
Pre Degree Science Course -
80% Marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination for admission to science streaam (for General category).
70% marks in aaggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination for admission to Humanities stream (for General category).
72% marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination for admission to science stream (for OBC category).
63% marks in aggregate in Madhyamik Pariksha or equivalent examination for admission to Humanities stream (for OBC category).
Only pass marks (for SC/ST Categories).

Application Fee:
Application Fee for First subject is Rs.150 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs.500 for all other candidates. For each additional subject and additional fee of Rs.75 for SC/ST/PWD candidates and Rs.200 for all candidates is required.
Candidates can make the payment through Online payment Mode (using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking ) facility.
In case a candidate does not have access to an Online payment method he or she can deposit the required amount at the different HDFC Branchs using Bank Challan.

Admission Procedure :
Admission to Class XI for both the school will be solely on the basis of marks obtained at the Secondary Level (Madhyamik Pariksha or an equivalent examination) in 2014 & 2015 (except the Additional subject).

The Self Attested Photocopies of the following certificates must be enclosed with the Application form :
1. Admit Card of the Madhyamik Examination or equivalent.
2. Marksheet of the Madhyamik Examination or equivalent.
3. Certificate of the Madhyamik Examination (if already received).
4. School Leaving Certificate.
5. Birth Registration Certificate issued by cmpowered Government authority as per rule (Form No. 9 or 5).
6. Certificate from appropriate Government authorities in case of SC/ST/OBC & Physically Handicapped candidates.
7. Blood Group report.
8. A fitness Certificate by a Registered Medical Practitioner should be attached.

Candidates have to apply through online on vbu.ucanapply.com/entrance. The online application allows the candidate to provide all information and also to upload scanned Photograph & Signature.
