Tarakeswar Degree College: 

The College was established twenty in the year 1986 on 5th September a day celebrated as the Teachers' Day in memory of Dr. Sarbapally Radhakrishnan, a renowned Indian philosopher and educationist. Sri Srimat Dandiswami Hrishikesh Ashram Mahanta Maharaj of tarakeswar Math with his kindness and generosity donated 3.5 acres of prime land for the purpose of establishing the college campus. In recognition of the above and of its potential to excel as a center of learning the college was recognized under section 2F & 12B of the UGC on Jan 24,1991.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidates Who have passed H.S its equivalent examination (10+2) from WBCHSE / NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya /  Netaji Open University or others Board / council recognized by Burdwan University in 2023 are eligible for application.

Students passing 10+2 level with Vocational course may Apply for admission to this college for the session 2023 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation:

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. candidates having SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B certificate issued by the states other than West Bengal Will be treated as General category for Admission.

Application Fee:

The application will be considered invalid  without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of College either Online (through Debit & Credit card) or Off line Bank Challan.

The Merit List of valid applicants will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the Merit Lists lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.
