Vivekanda Mahavidyalaya

Mr. Prafulla Chandra sen, The than Chief Minister of West Bengal, laid the Foundation stone for the proposed Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya at the spot on 8th March, 1964.

In 1964 the College was accorded the govt. affiliation as Govt. Sponsord College. On 26th August 1964, the College was inaugurated formerly. The chief guest of the inauguration ceremony was the than Director of Education, Govt. of West Bengal, Dr. Dhirendra Mohan Sen.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Candidates who have passed H.s or its equivalent Examination (10+2) from WBCHSE/ NIOS / IGNOU / ICSE / ISC / CBSE / Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya / Council Recognized by the University of Burdwan in 2023 are eligible for application. Students passing 10+2 level with vocational course may apply for admission to this college for the session 2023 in appropriate undergraduate.

Seat Reservation: 

Reservation of seats for SC, ST, OBC A, OBC B and Physically Challenged candidates will be accordance to the existing rules of the Government of West Bengal. A Certificate from the competent authority must be produced during counselling for claiming such reservation. No application will be allowed to take advantage of more than one quota of reservation. Candidates having SC / ST / OBC A / OBC B certificate issued by the states other than West Bengal Will be treated as General category for Admission.

Application Fee:

The Application will be considered invalid without payment of application fee (Including Bank Transaction Charge) to the Bank of Account of College either Online (through Debit & Credit Card), or Offline Bank Challan.

Merit List:

The Merit list of valid applicants will be published online website of college on date as per the published admission scheduled, the merit list lists will be prepared in the descending order of merit index. In case a tie, precedence will be given to higher subject marks, wherever applicable.

Counselling:

Students Must have bring the print copy of the Application form, Application fee receipt, Madhyamik Admit Card, Madhyamik & HS mark sheet (Original & Xerox Copy), Character Certificate from last attendant school, Cast Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate or all equivalent papers wherever applicable along with all original to the college during Verification of Documents, Counselling for approval to admission.
